Dear Ted: It wasn’t so long ago that Mazdas were small cars. Times have changed. The CX-5 is a great example of Mazda building multi purpose vehicles that buyers want. It fits between the smaller CX-3 and larger CX-7 with third row seating. Th CX-5 rides and handles like a sporty car verses an SUV. This is a quality SUV and after a one-hour commute I did not feel driving fatigue. The Mazda CX-5 is a good all-around SUV offered in front- and all-wheel drive. All models are powered by a 187-horsepower four-cylinder mated to a six-speed automatic with a sport shift mode.
