Dear Jack: I drove the 2019 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4×4. The engine was the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. The eTorque feature (an electric power adder) provides instant power. Unlike a supercharger or turbocharger that need to build up boost, the eTorque electric power is instant. The Rubicon also has a high 4:10 gear ratio. Combine this to the eight-speed automatic and nothing can hold this Wrangler back. The suspension has also been re-engineered to soften the ride. Base Wrangler pricing starts around $24,000, and on our Rubicon tester was $41,445. Wrangler retains the highest resale value of almost any vehicle produced.
