2004 Buick Regal – poor wire connections

Dear Doctor: I own a 2004 Buick Regal with a 3.8L V-6 engine (40,500 mileage). The service engine, anti-lock brake and traction off lights are all illuminated on the dashboard, but only sporadically. I’ve had this problem for about a year. Help. Gloria

Dear Gloria: Common faults are poor wire connections at the front speed sensors. The wires sometimes get corroded and pull apart when the wheels are turned in either direction. Have the technician check the computer for any fault codes that can be stored in memory. If there are no stored codes, then you will have to wait until the lights come back on. While the lights are on go to the shop, do not shut the engine off. The technician will check for fault codes while the light is on.
