1997 Chrysler Concorde intermittent stalling

Dear Doctor: I own a 1997 Chrysler Concorde with 91,500 miles. I started experiencing intermittent stalling. I have had the car at Goodyear for almost two weeks with them doing various road tests and normal driving. They could not duplicate the stalling. I had them bring the car back to me and then with the scanner attached I drove the mechanic back to the service station and the car stalled while waiting for a light, but nothing showed on the scanner. Can the car be saved? Sam

Dear Sam: Have the technician take a close look at the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors. Either sensor can be out of specification and cause a stalling problem. Check around on pricing of the crankshaft sensor. It is an inexpensive replacement and they do wear out. The computer can also be a culprit. Your car will need additional diagnostic time.
